Marveling at the full moon during Mid-Autumn Festival is a given during the holidays, and this year at The Arcade, you will have a chance to go up to space and land on the moon yourselves! The Arcade STEM Academy has collaborated with code-writing academy Koding Kingdom and VEX Robotics Inc. (partner of NASA, host of the VEX Robotics Competition, and the representative of Robotics Education & Competition Foundation in Hong Kong), to host‘The Arcade “STEM Academy” – Robotic Moon Rover Challenge’ from 16th to 18th September (The day after Mid-Autumn Festival, Saturday and Sunday).
You will have an opportunity to assemble your own robotic rover, and race fellow vehicles on the spot. Furthermore, you can control the VEX robotic moon rover, and complete missions set on the moon. The workshop will also feature a “VEX Free Play Zone”, allowing children to run wild with their imagination, as well as “Gigantic Galaxy Maze Inflatable” to get those adrenaline pumping, along with ‘The Arcade Mystery Theater’ performance, designed to inspire interests in robotics for children during the holidays.

‘VEX Robotic Workshop’
Details: | Under the guidance of professionals, you’ll learn to assemble your own rover vehicle with ‘VEX Learning Series- The Robotics Rover’, and learn about the mechanics, science, technology and mathematics behind the rover. After completion, you can bring home VEX learning series- Robotic rover, for $170. |
